Job Announcement For Treatment Service Specialist

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direct services to youth and families in Support Service Programs. May assist youth in developing coping skills, social/recreational skills, independent living skills, mediation and conflict resolution skills, problem solving skills. May assist parents by providing short-term respite care. Communicates behavioral and emotional observations to treatment team. Documents relevant data. Participates in program planning. Performs other duties as assigned. Available to respond to problems on a 24-hour basis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to assess and respond to the needs of youth and foster parents and an understanding of community resources and how to access services. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services plus two (2) years of experience working with youth who are emotionally challenged and who experience learning differences and families.
